Studio & Locations:
I'm an on-location and in-studio photographer, which means I will meet you at a park, the beach, or even in the comfort of your own home. I'm based out of Brantford, Ontario and will travel up to 30 miles for your session, or come down to the studio!
I take my time and things are never rushed. I'm a "life style" photographer which means I try to capture real life instead of uncomfortable poses and formal shots.
I've found that kids are more themselves in a place they are familiar with. Though I can't work miracles with locations, I can usually take great pictures no matter where we are. Babies under six months usually do best indoors. I do have a portable studio that I bring with me to indoor sessions.
Clothing:
Clothing choices should be relaxed and comfortable. Busy prints and patterns do not photograph very well. Try to avoid having your child wear themed clothing such as an Elmo t-shirt or a Winnie the Pooh jumper. We want your child to be the focus of the photograph, not the character.
Bright colors are highly encouraged as well as funky hats, pretty skirts, and boots. Wear something fun!!
If yours is a family session, try to coordinate colors. Khakis and jeans are always good choices along with a nice shirt. Try to avoid wearing sleeveless shirts and shorts. No matter how thin your arms are, they tend to look larger in photos!

Proofing:
After your session I will email you a link to your private online gallery. Your online gallery will include 30-40 proofs. You can forward a link to the gallery to all your friends and family. The gallery will be up for 10 days. At that time we will schedule an ordering appointment where I will assist you in ordering your photos. This can be done in person, or on the phone.
Retouching:
Most retouching is included in your session fee, but extensive work can be done for a fee. As a general rule I don't re-touch children's photos. I also can not work miracles. If you're unhappy with your looks I can not help you. You'll have to take that up with your maker!
Cancellations:
If you need to cancel, I must have 48 hours notice. If you or your child are ill, please do not hesitate to cancel. Photos are no fun when you are sick. I will do my best to fit you into another time slot.
